“Films are subjective - what you like, what you don’t like. But the thing for me that is absolutely unifying is the idea that every time I go to the cinema and pay my money and sit down and watch a film go up on-screen, I want to feel that the people who made that film think it’s the best movie in the world, that they poured everything into it and they really love it. Whether or not I agree with what they’ve done, I want that effort there - I want that sincerity. And when you don’t feel it, that’s the only time I feel like I’m wasting my time at the movies.” Christopher Nolan

“Films generally (using that word loosely) use violence for Narrative purposes, not just to shock and create hype over the film. But this is very generalising the mainstream cinema that we are used to seeing. This isn’t including the plenty of straight-to-DVD horror films, Indie Films, World Cinema, or the dark dark genre called Gorno.”

Bioware haven’t held back on this scale in this game. Seeing old characters, team banter, and re-kindling relationships really sends home the fact that this is the last game; and I don’t know what to feel about that.
Using the Twitter @AllianceNewsNet they made it seem that Emily Wong (a news journalist from the previous games) was tweeting the events of the Reapers landing on Earth as and when it happened.

Cue the slightly tweaked Gameplay, and it’s improvements. Everything seems a bit cleaner, tighter and smoother compared to Mass Effect 2, they’ve considered what worked and what didn’t work in both previous games to really perfect the gameplay in the third installment.

Okay, so this post isn’t necessarily about Rooney Mara and her role as Lisbeth Salander (hint: it sorta is) but mainly a rant about the Oscars in general and how predictable they’ve become.

The main thing I am hoping for is some sort of emotional resolution for Shepard, think about what he/she has gone through in each game, but so far we’ve had this immovable force. But in the DLC “Lair of the Shadow Broker” we saw a hint of a chink in Shepard’s armour and I hope they invest in that to make Shepard a bit more “human”.
